A quick observation after watching two recent OpenAI videos, including a demo of the new #ChatGPT Agent (July 2025)...
When rolling out shiny new AI features or highlighting ways to use AI, we keep getting party-trick use cases (dinner-party recipes, email salutations, you name it)..while myself, as a business owner, is thinking...Cool, but where's the bottom-line impact?
“Fun Hacks” vs. “Profit Drivers”
Too often we see AI demos proving it can write sonnets or suggest cake flavors. Eye-roll emoji required 🙄.
What we really want are use cases that:
💡 Save hours of grunt work with end-to-end automation (Agent Mode’s browser + Python + file system).
📊 Boost revenue by auto-building slide decks from live sales data or running dynamic pricing analysis.
Yes, AI can craft killer brunch menus - but give us demos that show AI swapping out our spreadsheets, not just sprucing up our coffee orders!
LLM Companies: How to Craft "Bottom-Line" Driven Demos
✅ Start with a KPI: Define hours saved, dollars earned, or tickets resolved before you write your demo script.
🔍 Use real data: Swap mock creative prompts for anonymized sales figures or live CRM exports.
💬 Frame the ROI story: Lead with “This saved us $10K last quarter,” not “Isn’t AI neat?”
